In your own words put together a 200 – 300 word argument IN FAVOUR of Paywalls – to try to convince a young person who has never paid for a newspaper.
Paywalls are a great way to contribute back to the hardworking, dedicated and passive journalists and editors. It increases you likeliness to participate in  reading the news daily about stories locally and worldwide, this is due to value-added content. Which suits your preferences and you don't need to have long searches for your personalised adverts. It is also beneficial for the company and this will lead them to have more range of events, growing their audience and you being part of the journey. Also by using paywalls your stories will be updated when it needs to be and you will not miss out on anything and be on top of the game. You could also comment and write on events and share your opinion with other subscribers making it a welcoming and home-like environment. The last few years there was a decline in the news industry, a 'slow suicide' the numbers have been dropping rapidly making the ad revenue have been at its peak, the only hope according to some sources is for people to subscribe to the paywall. You can help this tragedy and not 'live under a rock'. The reason the NYT is so successful is because they have a paywall with 1 million subscribers.
